GBMS Summer Homework Activities
by Scott Peek - Wednesday, 4 June 2014, 04:37 PM

Although we firmly believe our kids should relax this summer, it is important that they don’t fall behind in their studies skills.  Please help us, by expecting you son/daughter to work on math and reading this summer.  We are asking them to complete self-guided online math lessons through Tenmarks and also complete Summer Reading. Assignments are due by August 11th.

Thank you for all of your support.

June 3rd Continuation Time Updated
by Scott Peek - Friday, 30 May 2014, 10:40 AM

8th Grade Students and Parents:

We have adjusted the start time of our continuation to 6:30pm instead of 5:00pm.   We made this adjustment because several students are unable to attend as they are attending family members high school graduations.

These students have been working hard all year and it is important that we celebrate their accomplishments as a community.   We also know several parents made sacrifices to attend for the evening, therefore, we have adjusted the time to accommodate everyone involved.

We look forward to seeing you at the GBMS Continuation.

You are Invited to the Janus Student Art Buying Showcase
to see the art that our students are selecting to go on permanent display at our school

WHERE: The Cherry Creek Arts Festival - Janus Art Experience Tent

Located in Cherry Creek North, at Fillmore Plaza between 1st and 2nd Avenues

This event is free and open to the public.

We hope you’ll join us at this fun and interactive event! Three of our students will be representing Grant Middle School as part of the 2014 Janus Student Art Buying Program. Using a budget donated by Janus, a long-time sponsor of the festival, they will tour the festival, talk to artists and purchase art for our school. The day will end with a student gallery showcasing this artwork, along with 24 other schools from across the state.

Come tour the gallery and be a part of this unique program that teaches young people about art as a personal preference, a reflection of culture and as a business.
