Logging into Chromebooks
by Scott Peek - Wednesday, 24 September 2014, 12:08 PM

Hey Everyone,

8th Grade you are good to go to log into the Chromebook. Your log in credentials should be your old username + 14(three letter month)(two digit day)15 password.

*Note if that doesn't work, use the Pubic Session and use your old password. (Users who changed their names are seeing the issue because my document ended up creating them a second account.)

Use the following form to report if you are having issue: Click Here to see form

You will need to be logged in to see the form so use the public session and log into moodle with your old password. Please be patient I will be getting to those who can't log in based on the names I already have and then those that are submitted. I have to go through each student manually so I will contact you via GMAIL when I know your account works.

Message from the Library
by Mark Horowitz - Monday, 25 August 2014, 08:36 PM

Message from the library:

Hi, everyone,

Happy first days of school! The library will be open for book check-outs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays starting the week of September 2, 2014.

Here are the student library guidelines. Teachers, please share these with your students.

Grant Beacon Library Guidelines

1- No gum, food, or drinks in the library.

2- All students must have a pass.

3- No passes from the library.

4- Keep your voices down.

5- Be respectful of others.

6- Students are only to use the north doors, next to the non-fiction section.

7- Do not enter the library if the doors are closed.

8- If you pull a book from the shelf, please put it back where it belongs. If you are not sure where it goes, place it in the book return.

9- You may check out only two books at a time.

10- Please return books by the due date.

11- If you owe more than $50.00 in library fines, you cannot check out more books.

12- Please keep the library clean!

The most important library guideline is that students must not be in the library without supervision. So teachers, please make sure to keep the library doors locked when the library is closed. (I will post a "library is closed" sign whenever I'm not there.)

Teachers, please feel free to use the library as a study area on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but make sure students don't borrow library books without checking them out. If you absolutely must take out a book for yourself or for a student, you must leave me a note with the name of the person taking the book, the title and author of the book, and the barcode number of the book.

Students, I'm looking forward to meeting each one of you and helping you discover the books you love!

Much love,

Ms. Pla
